We love hearing about the many fantastic items that our store visitors discover, from bags and shoes to coats and dresses, there’s something for everyone. Take a look at some of our favourite #mybarnardosfind from the past week:
You may have seen some other beautiful finds from @aaaa.pril and this skirt, which was originally from Forever 21, just adds to her list.
London Fashion Week 2015 took the capital by storm last week showcasing the trendiest styles for 2016.
Here at Barnardo’s we were in awe of some of the looks, so we decided to recreate some of them using items found in our stores across the city
The Little Black Dress, otherwise known as the ‘LBD’, will be forever iconic, however for next year’s warmer months a Little White Dress will be the must-have piece for your summer wardrobe.
Some of the most popular looks on the runway included gathered waists using belts and ties as seen in David Komas’ collection which hit the runway on Sunday. Flowing skater-style hemlines and lace enhance the summery look.
With the days getting shorter and leaves scattering the ground, it’s clear that summer is well and truly out and autumn is in. Although this means worse weather, fashion lovers everywhere know it also means better clothes! There’s no denying that autumn/winter fashion outshines spring/summer, with endless opportunities to layer, accessorise and embellish. The following blog will show you how to make the transition from summer to autumn with the season’s must-have key pieces from Barnardo’s. Everything featured was under £10 and all from fabulous brands, meaning you can buy more clothes whilst doing your bit for charity – everyone’s a winner! Enjoy :
Current obsession and an autumn must-have is the midi skirt. You will find loads of different varieties in stores in fabulous prints, pleats, fabrics and textures. Below are a few of the more recent ones I have picked up in the Glasgow branch.
If you flicked through any fashion mags this summer, you’ll probably have noticed the seventies trend that has taken the high street by storm. Floaty, bohemian dresses and paisley prints have been the look of the summer, and this trend isn’t going away any time soon.
The Barnardo’s Retail team share their top picks from this week’s #mybarnardosfind uploads on Instagram!
Many of you that follow us may have seen the lovely @Tinadavis89 previous stylish finds on our Instagram page. Well, she never fails to disappoint as she recently found these beauts in her local Barnardo’s branch in Glasgow city centre.
Clothes or rent? The eternal student question. What if I told you both were possible? What if I told you some cracking shirts were within your reach at prices too good to turn down?
I’m Max, an intern in Business Development at Barnardo’s Head Office. Like the next student, I’m all about the bargains. I buy all my shirts – casual and smart- in charity shops. I also buy most other things, but especially shirts. So should you.
