Hi I’m Lucy Taylor, also known as ‘The Bargain Bunny’. I have been a super-savvy shopper for a number of years now and recently started my own blog where I share my best bargains and tips.

Recently I went for a wander around my local charity shops. It’s something that I really enjoy doing. I absolutely love rummaging around all of the rails and shelves, especially when I come across something great that I want to buy!

I used to be a serial shopper and loved to buy clothes on a weekly basis. It wasn’t a cheap hobby but after volunteering in my local Barnardo’s store I gained a real appreciation for how good charity shops really are.

You can find some really fantastic items at a fraction of their normal retail price. Not only that but you’re also helping the environment by extending the life of what you buy and of course, you are supporting the charity every time you make a purchase!

One of the pieces I found on my recent trip back to Barnardo’s was this super cute jumper.

I was initially drawn to its fair-isle-type pattern, but when I looked closer I realised that it had rabbits on it – so I just had to have it!

I wanted to show you how I make the most out of my purchases, so I have styled it in three different ways to ensure I get my money’s worth!

Look One – The Laid-back look!

The first look is the most casual. I simply teamed it with black leggings and have thrown on some winter boots.

This is the type of outfit I would wear if I was off out for a charity shop rummage as its super comfy and is minimal fuss for when you need to pop into a changing room to try things on.

Look Two – Skater Girl!

I think a jumper tucked into a skater skirt not only suits my shape, but is also appropriate for work or for a stroll around the shops on a chilly day. I chose a co-ordinating coloured skirt to brighten up this outfit and popped on some flat t-bar shoes. Ankle boots would work just as well, especially if you want to dress the look up a touch.

Look Three – Update an old dress!

My final look is a bit of an ‘in-betweeny’ one. I simply wore the jumper over a skater-style dress in a colour which complimented the jumper. I chose to wear it over a dress that had a collar in order to add another element to the look. I kept the bottom half simple with black tights and my black t-bar shoes. I’d say that this is the kind of outfit I’d wear when I’m out and about and meeting friends for lunch. (PS – That’s my bunny in the photo, Honeybun!)
