My Barnardo’s find by Swish my Swag

Hi! My name is Swish My Swag, and I am a self-confessed fashion addict and bargain hunter. I very rarely pay full price for anything, from food to false tan; I need it to be as cheap as chips.
This week, I swung by the sweetest little Barnardo’s charity shop in Crosby, Liverpool.

I didn’t have anything in mind in terms of what I fancied purchasing, but of course I didn’t leave empty handed. HURRAH!

I love Barnardo’s stores, as they are so organised! I had the pleasure of browsing colour coordinated and size organised clothes rails in the Crosby store!
So, from what I found, I was able to make two fabulous little outfits! I have styled them both with clothes and accessories I already own.

Look one!

My first find was this floral top from Zara, and it cost just £3.99!! The top is in excellent condition, and I think was an absolute steal at that price!

I teamed my new Zara top with a men’s Topshop shirt which I also found in store. As mad as it sounds I highly recommend looking outside of the typical size and gender range you would usually shop in. The shirt is a size small, and is slightly too big on me, but it works for the style I like. The shirt is good quality denim, again, in excellent condition and priced so reasonably at just £5.99!

Look Two!

My next purchase is definitely my favourite! This summer’s hottest trend is all about flashing the shoulders. Imagine my delight at finding this frilly, floaty, floral, bardot style blouse. And even better, it was brand new with the tags on!

I paid only £4.99 to find a blouse that is so on trend, and would have retailed at £28 in New Look. I simply couldn’t resist this purchase and here is how I have styled my new fashionable find, simply adding a pair of denim cut offs and throwing on a pair of flat-forms for a laid back summer look.

I’ve shopped in charity shops for many years, not paying much attention to the cause they actually support, (I know, that’s not the best!). But as I’ve become a fully-fledged adult, started eating vegetables and buying free range eggs, I’ve became more conscious of other things. I realised Barnardo’s support a cause close to my heart, and that is children.

I am happy to support their cause in helping the UK’s most vulnerable children who live in poverty, or domestically violent homes.

I have only recently found out that Barnardo’s offers fostering and adoption services! My partner and I are in the process of looking for a bigger home so we can do just this! For a long time we have both very much wanted to foster children and will most definitely be seeking support from Barnardo’s on our journey!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope you like my style! If you do, you can find me at swishmyswag
