Two of my favourite trends going into 2019: animal print and shirt dresses!
I was thrilled when I spotted this number in my local Barnardo’s, my size and £1.99 in the sale! It’s a recent piece from New Look and has clearly hardly been worn.
I’ve always had a thing for leopard print and I’m especially loving the colourful take that’s all over the high street at the moment. If you’re not brave enough to rock a bright yellow zebra, the wintery hues like khaki and rust are a great option, and very on-trend.
The midi length is big at the moment and is super versatile. Tights or bare legs, heels or boots, smart or casual – it works for so many occasions.
It was so cold at the weekend that I decided to layer it over a polo neck and opt for a ‘grungier’ look with mod style military boots, a chunky belt and dark lipstick. My usual tortoise-shell hoop earrings (obsessed) and favourite satchel completed the look.
I also experimented teaming the dress with heeled boots, an oversized jumper, and a hat. The possibilities are endless! I’m chuffed with my new winter wardrobe staple.
Big thanks to Emma for styling and sharing her pre-loved find with us this week on The-Thrift. Be sure to head over to Instagram and give her a follow.
