Think rich shades of crimson and deep wine hues that will add a touch of class to any outfit – and don’t be afraid to overload on the glitter and sequins this season. My Vintage Barnardo’s Visit by Natasha

Hello lovelies and Happy charity Tuesday! Hope you have all had an awesome week.

Last week, I popped into the Barnardo’s vintage store for their Autumn/Winter range preview event. I’ve been in this store once before and I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere of the shop, so much so I wanted to photograph it and write a blog post featuring it. Their stock ranges from vintage clothing, to childrenswear, houseware and much more.

Upcycling – From Drab to Fab by Lucy

Sometimes you find a vintage gem in a charity shop that fits you like a glove, and sometimes you see something that has a lovely pattern, collar, buttons… but it makes you look like a sack of spuds! Don’t despair, here are a few quick fixes to bring a frock up to date.

One of my favourite things to do while away at lunch-time is rummaging through vintage shops to find clothes that might need a little TLC but have the potential to be something really great (warning: this can get addictive!) Buying vintage and second hand clothing is a brilliant way to keep your style unique, but it’s even better if you can take those threads and truly make them your own.

To give you some inspiration, I’ve taken a vintage dress that I picked up in Barnardo’s Macclesfield shop for £8 to show how a few minor changes can make a big difference.

My Personal Style by The FloralRose Princess

Hi, I’m Molly Rose – although you may know me from Instagram as @floralroseprincess. I am a twenty-year-old student, a lover of all things vintage and a self-confessed charity shop addict!

From my Instagram account, where I post about my outfit each day, it is clear to see that my wardrobe is fit to bursting with charity shop bargains. Charity shopping is fun, cheap and allows you to stand out from the crowd in fabulously unique pieces! Not to mention, charity shopping supports great causes, none more so than Barnardo’s, who help the most vulnerable children in the UK.

I would say that the way I dress is happy, colourful (I’m particularly partial to bright yellow) and vintage inspired. I love combining bright colours and clashing patterns, particularly florals. I once had my style described as vintage, without looking like a costume, with a touch of modern. I suppose that this is quite an accurate description as I never wear outfits that are true to a certain decade; I love to mix pieces of different styles and eras.
