One Shirt, Four Ways.

My charity shop obsession started over a decade ago, rooting through the local shops for stuffed animals with my Mum. This soon progressed into charity shops being my first stop when I was on the hunt for a new outfit. We would travel to different areas just to explore their charity shops. It was a hobby for me but also a great escape from everyday stresses and something I realised I was good at. I enjoyed putting together pre-loved pieces and loved when people complimented my thrifted outfit.

The last couple of years I’ve been looking for a creative outlet to demonstrate this passion and I recently started an Instagram account where I curate content consisting of mostly pre-loved outfits. Like many people my age juggling several jobs, you can feel a loss of individuality and while I love working to help other people’s creativity, I wanted the chance to showcase my own.Read More »

My Evening Wear by Holly

As someone who is happy to live in pinafore dresses and blouses, I am not one for ‘dressing up’ to go out. I also don’t go out very often, if I do then it is usually just for a meal where a dress and leather jacket works but I struggle with what to wear for a slightly classier occasion.

As soon as I saw this top in my local Barnardo’s, I knew I had to buy it! It’s such a gorgeous purple shade, features stunning beading and was only £3.50. The colour will also work really well for A/W, and I can imagine this top looking really pretty with jeans, heeled boots, and a faux fur coat- although I am a Geordie, I cannot go coatless in Winter!

Kristin’s Outfit Challenge

In the spirit of #CharityTuesday I wanted to share with you the recent challenge I did for Barnardo’s, spending as little money as possible but still picking up the best outfit I could find. The thing I love most about charity shops is finding designer pieces for cheap prices and then working out how much money I have saved. So, I did my research and headed down to Barnardo’s in Marylebone for some designer bargains. Below you can see the estimated retail price and the saving.

First up, this amazing top from RODIER:

My £10 Barnardo’s Haul

Hi peeps! I’m Hannah and I’m currently based in Manchester. When I’m not working in a lab, I regularly showcase my charity shop bargains and adventures over on my Instagram account and my blog – The Charity Panda.

I have been very kindly invited by Barnardo’s to visit their discount store in Wythenshawe and see what bargains I could find!

Now that we are post-Easter – a time when people get an annual declutter in full swing – I decided to search for some not-so-new additions to my spring wardrobe.

Cold Shoulder Blouse – £1.99

The off-the-shoulder craze has made a comeback this season – much to my excitement! With high street stores now bustling with shoulder baring shirts and blouses, this gorgeous vintage-gold coloured number is a perfect and unique version of this trend, it even has ruffled/flute sleeves for that extra feminine look.
