We can’t believe that it’s almost been two weeks since we launched our biggest ever summer campaign, Fashion For All!
To celebrate, we took to the top of our office to set up shop with pre-loved ‘fits from the photo shoot as well as a whole range of other pre-loved clothes and accessories – all available to shop on the night.
A huge thank you to each and every one person who came to support us and everyone who bought a little something for themselves too. Here’s a little sneak peek into the celebrations.
We launched Fashion for All because we truly believe fashion is for everyone, no matter your shape, size, or budget. Our stores are full of pre-loved clothes and accessories just waiting to be discovered and re-loved. Stop by your local Barnardo’s today or pop over to our eBay shop and help us keep celebrating Fashion for All!

Earth Day 2022 is here and the perfect time to act, innovate and implement changes. This year’s theme is “invest in our planet” and we wanted to take this time to share what we are doing here at Barnardo’s to look after our lovely planet. We are so excited to introduce our Sustainability Manager, Abi, to explain a little further about the work we are doing. Over to Abi!
Next up in our Fashion Love Stories series is the effortlessly stylish Emma Carline, sustainable fashion, lifestyle and style queen and digital creator. Pre-loved clothes are such a huge part of content and we are obsessed. Check out the below love story of a piece in her wardrobe that’s 5 years old.
“RE-WEARING is COoL!
HEY I’m Emma Carline and today I want to talk to you about rewearing your clothes, EVEN those statement pieces you don’t think you’ll wear again.
I was searching through my archive, and I came across these images and knew instantly that I needed to re-wear this top!
I thrifted it at least 5 YEARS AGO! & it is still in my wardrobe. I wear it every summer, it’s truly timeless!
This item of clothing, as well as many others in my wardrobe hold a story and a meaning. For instance, I remember wearing this top to Parklife festival in 2018! I remember dancing, lauging, smiling and joking with my friends. I made some amazing memories in this top, and I will continue to do so over many more.
Just because you’ve worn something to a festival or ” big event ” doesn’t mean that you can’t wear it again! I know it takes away a lot of the wearability, but we buy clothes to WEAR them. Not just to display them once, but truly LIVE in them. So make them memories, and hand me downs for future generations – and share those memories with them.
So don’t be afraid to re-wear! Honestly, it’s one of the coolest things you can do. For you and the planet.”

The cold weather is still upon us, and we are head over heels in love with knits. The key here is to embrace the comfy cosy homespun feel of the knits while letting it do all the talking. It’s perfect for those days you want to inject a little bit of colour and pizzazz into your outfit. Sam embraces this trend perfectly by pairing it with some distressed jeans and a leather jacket (which we adore) for an edgier feel.
